I hope that you and your family are doing well. I wanted to take a minute and share some important updates happening at Essential Family Medicine. Let’s start with the fun news…

We are utilizing Self Check-in to make the check in process run more smoothly and effectively for you when you come to your appointment.  You will simply type in your last name and birthday to log in and update the necessary forms at each visit. 

Our patient portal is also available for you to view and download your results at your convenience when you need them. Here is the link to register or log on to the portal: https://patientportal.advancedmd.com/account/logon?lk=139675 

Our caller ID sometimes shows up as a Winnsboro number or other telemarketer call. Our phone company does not understand why this happens so they are not able to correct it. Please add our office numbers to your contact list so we will be able to reach you with your results and avoid playing phone tag.

Okay, now for the not so fun…

My schedule is staying booked out several weeks now so I really need yall to pay attention to your medication refills. Go ahead and call my office to schedule an appointment when you pick up the last bottle of your medicine so we will have a few weeks to get you back in for a visit before you run out of medicine. Most medicines require a visit at least every 6 months and some need labwork too. Please help me help you by calling before you run out of medicine. 😊

I am very grateful that my clinic days are busy and I enjoy sitting down and visiting with each and every one of you during your appointment. You have my undivided attention when I am in the room with you because that is how it should be. That being said, it is very hard for me to spend time away from scheduled patients in the clinic to talk on the phone. Please be respectful of one another and understand that there is just not enough time in the day for me to spend on the phone. We will need to set you up for an appointment if my nurse is unable to answer your question or if your concern would best be discussed face to face.

I really appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you again soon. I hope you all stay well but we are here if you need us.
